We commit to providing high quality, personal legal services.
Established in 1991 when the late Merton Malloy came from Auckland’s CBD to Newmarket, Malloy Goodwin Harford has grown with its clients. It takes pride in that collaboration.
The arrival from major City practices of Alfred Harford in 1996, David Ruck in 2003 and David Moorman in 2007 has seen the firm’s growth accelerate and capacity expand. Marise Allan and Patrick Casey were promoted to become partners in October 2012 and have continued this growth. Alfred became a consultant with the firm, in April 2019.
The four partners contribute to the firm a wealth of experience gained from their present association and from their previous legal practices.
They are easy to talk to, helpful and supportive as well as being timely and efficient. I have respect for their honesty and integrity and professionalism.
We are very pleased with the service and care we received from this law firm and look forward to a long term association with Malloy Goodwin.

When the late Merton Malloy came to Newmarket from Auckland’s CBD in 1991 it was his ambition to establish a law firm that emphasised personal contact with clients and the provision of legal services combining ‘old fashioned’ professional values and ethics with modern technology to deliver the highest quality legal service.
This ambition has resonated with each lawyer who has joined our firm in the last 25 years. We believe this ambition has been achieved and we all are keen to ensure it is maintained.
We commit to providing high quality, personal legal services to clients who look to us to tell them what to do next.
Our partners cover each of our areas of expertise in property, private client, commercial and intellectual property work. We collaborate among ourselves to share our expertise and to produce the most effective results for our clients.
The commitment, experience and ability of the firm’s partners, supporting lawyers and other staff enables the firm to deal with complex work in addition to our clients’ day-to-day legal needs. All client files are actively managed by a partner.
In areas of legal practice which we do not service (e.g. litigation), we maintain close relationships with a network of highly regarded specialists to whom clients can be referred.
